Within the past 15 months, VirtuSense has partnered with multiple post-acute locations and has implemented VSTAlert, a predictive bed monitoring platform that has seen as little as 0.5 false alarms per day.
Two notable partnerships include United Methodist Communities (stats from a three-month implementation) and John Knox Village (stats from a one year implementation). The following chart displays the outcomes from these partnerships.
Both communities saw a decrease in falls of over 75% and watched their falls/1,000 patient days drop to under three from previous double digit numbers. Notably, UMC watched all four of its locations reduce falls considerably, producing the same results community-wide.
John Knox Village recently won McKnight’s Excellence in Technology “Innovator of the Year” award for their successful implementation of VSTAlert to reduce falls in their community.
